The 15th annual ICEF Australia and New Zealand conference will be held in Perth, Western Australia in 2023, connecting education providers with international education agents from across the globe, Business Events Perth has announced.
The conference is set to attract upward of 300 delegates to Western Australia, for a two-day networking and trade conference attended by the top international student recruitment agents, directly generating upwards of $935,000 for the Western Australian economy.
Business Events Perth partnering with Study Perth and the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, meant the bid garnered support from over 16 education and student affairs organisations nationally.
The support of 26 Western Australian education providers who attended this years ICEF Australia and New Zealand conference in Adelaide has contributed immensely to the favourable decision for Perth.
The Government of Western Australia’s ‘Diversify WA’ economic framework recognises the importance of the international education sector, and the role the sector plays in growing and diversifying Western Australia.
Western Australia’s proximity to the Asia Pacific region, its innovative and quality educational reputation, and high-quality student accommodation offerings were also key in factors in the win.
