TMS. Please tell us about your career journey, major hurdles overcome and milestones achieved so far.

Abhisheg Garg. I started working in my teens when most were studying or dreaming about the future. Handling administration, operations and production heads in our wedding planning and events business was a huge learning experience in how to engage, deliver and execute high voltage corporate and wedding events. Hurdles and challenges were par for the course. Finding workable solutions, doing service recovery and exceeding expectations with imagination, flair and integrity became part of the DNA make-up!

TMS. Could you tell us a bit about your role at IHN and how did you conceptualise this initiative? What are the key activities of IHN?

Abhisheg Garg. I am the Founder at Indian Hospitality Network – IHN. We took birth end 2020, being conceptualized from the twin determinations to forge a progressive, cohesive, collaborative platform where the cross industry verticals members could be encouraged to connect and synergise for professional purposes, up selling products and services; as well as for extending networks and expanding their net worth ! We operate by servicing our members’ business ASK’s, doing focused industry events at disruptive price bands, exceeding delivery while constantly showcasing our events and activities on social media.

TMS. How has IHN been instrumental in promoting and connecting people from all walks of the Corporate, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism industry? What is the current strength of IHN in India?

Abhisheg Garg. IHN has successfully been bridging the gap between our members and their persons of interest for business progression within the industry as well as towards identifying areas of mutual collaboration and being a catalyst in the business closures without any commercial interest.

IHN currently stands at 200 plus pan India and overseas members!

TMS. We would like to know the concept behind IHN Konnect ? What would be its key highlights?

Abhisheg Garg. The Flagship KONNECT Event was conceptualized as a seminal BUYER –SELLER By Invite Only format; a luxury platform offering a single window opportunity for an excellent showcase, on site branding, robust buyer to seller inter-action featuring committed meetings even beyond the physical Event in the IHN crafted methodology, stellar speaker sessions, varied SHOW USP’s and disruptive end to end price bands.

TMS. Going ahead, what are your future plans on growing and expanding IHN in India?

Abhisheg Garg. IHN believes that happy members are the best way of increasing numbers as the base, traditional reach out mechanism. Our top leadership team has an impeccable track record of industry relationships, integrity and member delivery to bring to the table!

TMS. How is IHN instrumental in synergizing and helping its clients discover the X-Factor through their Unique Mentorship Programme?

Abhisheg Garg. IHN supports our members with educational opportunities and connects with industry notables who can assist, encourage and mentor discreetly, as and when required.


TMS. What are the key challenges surrounding our industry? In your opinion, what does the future hold for the Travel and Hospitality industry in India?

Abhisheg Garg. The many challenges are infrastructure development, inventory enhancement, increased connectivity through the waterways and in the north east, safety, security, hygiene and insufficient collaborations.

People will always wish to travel and experience new destinations, properties, products and services. The industry will continue to recover and grow provided that pestilence and wars do not intervene!

TMS. Is there anything else you would like to add as we wrap up? Any message that you would like to share with the industry at large?

Abhisheg Garg. IHN has been formulated and grown through COVID times when people were facing the stress of lay-offs, sectoral changes, reduced capacities asides of the debilitating pandemic environment.

It was COLLABORATIONS that were the savior then and the way forward for the future now, as they drive fresh ideas, fuel strengths, reduce overheads, conserve resources and increase productivity and the bottom line. This reiterates what we stand for: #True Relationships!
