Fairfest Media, the organizer of OTM—Asia’s leading travel show—has announced its acquisition of WTE Miami, the fastest-growing travel trade event in the United States. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in Fairfest’s global expansion, strengthening its footprint across the Americas by building on its decades of expertise and leadership in Asia and India.

Since its debut in 2022, WTE Miami has rapidly earned credibility as a key platform for the travel and tourism sector. Hosted at the world-class Miami Beach Convention Center, the event receives strong support from Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami-Dade County, and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Over the years, national tourism boards, convention bureaus, airlines, and global travel brands have participated in WTE Miami, making it a truly international showcase. Industry leaders such as American Airlines, Avianca, Delta Airlines, Bahamas, Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, French Bee, Jamaica, and Mexico have all been part of the roster. U.S. travel associations and major consortia continue to partner with the show, expanding its reach and enhancing opportunities for networking and business growth.

WTE Miami 2025 successfully catered to the needs of regional travel professionals, hosting over 300 exhibitors and 3,500 attendees, including hundreds of hosted buyers. With WTE Miami 2026 projected to double in size, participants can expect a significantly expanded B2B travel tradeshow dedicated to maximizing ROI and generating valuable business opportunities and media visibility in Miami—South Florida’s multicultural hub and the emerging U.S. gateway to the Americas.

As a global travel tradeshow organizer, Fairfest collaborates closely with tourism boards, national tourism organizations, major airlines, and hotel chains from more than 80 countries. Its past partners include Atout France, the U.S. Commercial Service, the Italian National Tourist Board, the European Tourism Association, the Greek National Tourism Organization, Visit Qatar, PROMPERU, Tanzania Tourist Board, Tourism Malaysia, and the Japan National Tourism Organization, among many others. Over the last three decades, Fairfest’s events have brought together over 15,000 travel brands and 100,000 industry professionals from more than 120 countries.

Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media, said: “We are delighted to welcome WTE Miami into the Fairfest family. WTE is uniquely positioned as a global travel tradeshow serving the world’s largest travel market, and we already anticipate 100% growth in 2026 through the synergies we bring.”

Javier P. Palencia, Director of WTE Miami, added: “Joining Fairfest will enable WTE Miami to scale new heights through its global network and expertise. By combining our strengths, we aim to significantly enhance the show’s reach and performance, ensuring continuity and growth for exhibitors and attendees alike. Our goal is to double both exhibitor and attendee numbers for the 2026 edition.”

Few destinations embody the essence of global travel as vividly as South Florida. As one of the world’s most dynamic cities, Miami blends the energy of the Americas with the allure of a premier international destination. Scheduled for October 27–28, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the next edition of WTE Miami is set for major expansion—doubling its scale, opening new avenues in travel and tourism, and offering enriched B2B networking and thought-leadership opportunities for industry leaders.
