The Adani Group has unveiled plans to invest approximately $2 billion in constructing Mumbai’s largest International Convention Centre (ICC), strategically located near the Mumbai International Airport. Approved by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the project is set to redefine Mumbai’s position as a premier destination for global exhibitions, conferences, and events.
Mumbai is set to redefine its event hosting capabilities with the upcoming International Convention Centre (ICC), a sprawling 1.5 million square feet facility designed to meet global standards. This state-of-the-art complex will boast world-class amenities, including 1.2 million square feet of indoor event space, capable of accommodating up to 20,000 attendees. Adding to its luxury appeal, the ICC will feature an integrated five-star hotel with 275 rooms, ensuring premium accommodations for visitors. Strategically located in Vile Parle, the venue offers unmatched accessibility, being in close proximity to Mumbai’s international airport.
The ICC is poised to surpass the Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, which spans 1 million square feet, becoming Mumbai’s largest convention venue. It will also position itself as a significant competitor to Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, India’s largest convention centre with 3.2 million square feet of space. This ambitious project highlights Mumbai’s growing prominence as a hub for large-scale international events and exhibitions.
