Air India has entered into a multi-year strategic agreement with Boeing Global Services to enhance fleet efficiency, reliability, and long-haul growth through Boeing’s Component Services Program (CSP). The collaboration was announced at Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad and is aimed at supporting Air India’s expanding Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.

The CSP is an end-to-end component management solution designed to meet the demands of Air India’s rapidly growing long-haul network. As the airline continues to induct new aircraft and expand international routes, the program will play a critical role in reducing aircraft downtime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high performance standards across the fleet.

A central feature of the agreement is component pooling, which gives Air India immediate access to a shared inventory of serviceable Boeing 787 components. This allows for quick replacement of line-replaceable units (LRUs), significantly reducing turnaround times and helping ensure on-time departures, a key factor for long-haul operations.

The partnership also covers repair, overhaul, and modification services, all delivered through Boeing-approved facilities and partners. These services ensure aircraft are maintained to global standards while benefiting from periodic upgrades that enhance reliability and performance. In addition, logistics and parts delivery support from Boeing’s global network will ensure timely availability of critical components, minimizing operational disruptions.

This agreement supports Air India’s broader fleet modernization strategy, including the induction of line-fit Boeing 787-9 aircraft, with more deliveries expected through 2026, and the ongoing retrofit of 26 Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The CSP will provide consistent component support across both new and existing aircraft.

By leveraging Boeing’s global repair network, parts distribution system, and fleet management expertise, Air India can better control maintenance costs, improve predictability, and scale operations efficiently. The collaboration strengthens Air India’s ability to meet growing international demand while maintaining high service standards.

Overall, the Air India–Boeing CSP agreement marks a significant milestone in the airline’s transformation journey, reinforcing its ambitions to become a globally competitive, reliable, and efficient international carrier.
