Air India and IHG Hotels & Resorts have announced a new partnership designed to provide enhanced loyalty benefits to travellers by connecting Air India’s Maharaja Club with IHG One Rewards. The collaboration allows members of both programmes to earn and convert points across flights and hotel stays, creating greater flexibility throughout the travel journey.
Under the partnership, Maharaja Club members can earn Maharaja Points when staying at participating IHG Hotels & Resorts properties worldwide. Members will earn two Maharaja Points for every US$1 spent at most IHG hotels. Stays at select brands and properties, including Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels, will earn one Maharaja Point for every US$1 spent.
The partnership also introduces a points-conversion option for IHG One Rewards members. Members can convert 1,000 IHG One Rewards Points into 200 Maharaja Points, with 1,000 points being the minimum exchange threshold. The initiative gives IHG members another way to use their accumulated rewards while expanding the benefits available to Air India’s frequent travellers.
The collaboration brings together IHG’s global portfolio of more than 7,100 hotels across over 100 countries with Air India’s network spanning India and five continents. It is expected to strengthen the connection between air travel and hospitality while giving loyalty programme members more opportunities to earn rewards beyond their primary travel category.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership brings together two leading travel brands and creates greater value and flexibility for members. He also highlighted India’s importance as a key growth market for IHG and the company’s focus on expanding its hotel presence and loyalty base.
Air India said the partnership forms part of Maharaja Club’s broader evolution, with the programme increasingly focused on providing members with benefits across travel and lifestyle categories. Air India has crossed 100 brands in its Maharaja Club partnership network, while members completed more than 4.2 million transactions across partner brands during FY2026.
To mark the launch, Maharaja Club members can earn three times the Maharaja Points on qualifying IHG stays from September 15 to December 31, 2026, with registration required.
IHG currently operates 53 hotels across seven brands in India, with another 110 properties in its pipeline for the next three to five years.
