The new luxury lifestyle brand ATHIVA Hotels & Resorts has been formally introduced by Chalet Hotels Limited (CHL), a prominent owner, developer, and asset manager in the Indian hospitality industry. This is a strategic shift for CHL as it broadens its focus from operating a hotel to developing a lifestyle brand based on modern Indian values. It serves a variety of markets, including business, leisure, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travelers.
Derived from the Sanskrit word for abundance, the new brand ATHIVA embodies a core philosophy focused on sustainability, happiness, and well-being. ATHIVA Hotels & Resorts will make its debut with six properties totaling more than 900 rooms. The redesigned and renamed ATHIVA Resort & Spa, Khandala, formerly known as The Dukes Retreat, is the first establishment under this new brand. There are now 147 rooms in the refurbished resort, including 11 tastefully decorated suites. During the quarter ending June 30, 2025, this property’s development and upgrade included finishing the renovations, adding 44 keys, and building a new banquet facility, bringing the inventory up to date.
The Khandala property is being transformed with an emphasis on conscious luxury, incorporating eco-friendly procedures and tranquil wellness experiences.
