Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited and Marriott International, Inc. are set to significantly expand their presence in the Indian hospitality market following a landmark multi-deal agreement. The collaboration will see the development of six new hotels with a total of 940 rooms across four key markets, further solidifying a partnership that has successfully spanned nearly 15 years. This ambitious expansion brings the total number of hotels under their joint portfolio to eight, boasting a combined 1,388 keys.

The new properties will introduce a diverse range of accommodations, from luxury resorts to business-friendly hotels, under five globally recognized Marriott Bonvoy brands. The roster of new properties is impressive, with a strategic focus on key southern Indian cities. The list includes the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center (slated for 2027), the Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport (2028), and the Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Brigade Valencia (2028). For those seeking an ultra-luxurious escape, the agreement also includes The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island, Kerala (2029), a stunning 70-villa retreat set amidst the state’s serene backwaters. To cater to the growing demand in business and leisure travel, the companies will also develop the JW Marriott Chennai OMR (2030) and the Thiruvananthapuram Marriott Hotel World Trade Center (2030).

The official signing ceremony, a testament to the strong collaboration, was attended by key executives from both organizations. M.R. Jaishankar, Executive Chairman of Brigade Enterprises Limited, expressed his excitement, stating that the projects reflect the company’s belief in the long-term potential of India’s hospitality industry. “With Marriott’s trusted brands and global standards, we are confident these new hotels will set new benchmarks in their respective markets,” Jaishankar noted, highlighting the commitment to delivering thoughtfully designed, high-quality experiences for both business and leisure travelers.

Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific excluding China for Marriott International, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the growth strategy is centered on being present where their guests are. “Today’s signed agreement underscores our long-standing relationship with Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, and leveraging the strength of our diverse brand portfolio, we are confident these new developments will meet the needs of travelers, for every trip purpose,” Menon remarked.

Each property is strategically located and designed with a specific guest in mind. From the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai, which will be part of a vibrant mixed-use development, to the secluded Ritz-Carlton resort in Kerala, reachable by a speedboat, the portfolio promises a blend of convenience, luxury, and world-class service. This multi-deal agreement is a powerful signal of both companies’ confidence in the future of the Indian travel and tourism sector, promising a significant boost to the region’s hospitality offerings.
