Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is set to redefine high-end hospitality in Rajasthan with the announcement of a new Taj-branded resort in Sawai Madhopur, developed in partnership with Vanivinayak Hospitality LLP. The 75-key eco-sensitive wildlife retreat is designed to seamlessly blend opulence with sustainability, offering travellers an immersive experience inspired by the region’s natural beauty and rich biodiversity.
Situated near the iconic Ranthambore National Park, the Taj Sawai Madhopur Resort is envisioned as a sanctuary where luxury meets nature. The property features elegantly designed suites and villas with private courtyards and plunge pools, reflecting local aesthetics while providing modern comforts. Guests can indulge in a curated culinary journey, with options including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a safari lounge, all crafted to celebrate the flavours of the region.
Wellness and recreation are central to the resort experience. Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle spa, a heated swimming pool, a fully equipped fitness centre, and Niu & Nau, the brand’s contemporary salon, provide guests with holistic relaxation and rejuvenation. Sustainability is embedded in every aspect of the resort, which follows IHCL’s ESG+ Paathya framework, incorporating solar-powered amenities, rainwater harvesting systems, and locally sourced building materials to reduce environmental impact.
Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, highlighted the growing potential of Sawai Madhopur as a destination for discerning travellers, noting the enhanced connectivity to the region. Vibhishek Singh and Abhishek Pal Singh, partners at Vanivinayak Hospitality LLP, spoke about the collaboration’s focus on promoting sustainable tourism in this ecologically sensitive region.
By offering a seamless blend of elegance, nature, and sustainability, the Taj Sawai Madhopur Resort is poised to strengthen Rajasthan’s global tourism appeal, providing travellers with a truly immersive experience in one of India’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.
