The Saudi Tourism Board (STB) is carrying out a three-city roadshow across Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Delhi from 15 to 19 September 2025, in a move aimed at deepening engagement with India’s flourishing leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and wedding tourism markets.
More than 14 prominent Saudi tourism stakeholders-including airlines, destination management companies (DMCs), destination marketing organizations (DMOs), and hospitality service providers-are participating in the roadshow. They are showcasing a unified narrative of Saudi Arabia’s attractions, emphasizing its potential for cultural heritage tours, pilgrimage experiences, luxury resorts, group inclusive tours (GIT), and opulent wedding venues.
This initiative underscores India’s importance in Saudi Arabia’s broader tourism strategy under Vision 2030. With its rapidly growing middle class, increasing disposable incomes, expanding air connectivity, and a large young population seeking international travel, India is being positioned as a priority source market.
The roadshow is also acting as a platform for launching Saudi Arabia’s latest Winter Season offerings, designed to appeal to Indian tourists looking for diverse experiences beyond the traditional pilgrimage and leisure itineraries. A recent global campaign, “Unreal Calendar,” featuring football star Cristiano Ronaldo, is being leveraged in key markets (including India) to highlight the Kingdom’s evolving calendar of sports, entertainment, fashion, and cultural events.
MICE and wedding tourism segments are receiving special emphasis during the event. Saudi Arabia is promoting its world-class convention infrastructure-such as the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre-and upcoming venue developments, as well as its capacity to host both large corporate gatherings and landmark wedding ceremonies.
By engaging directly with Indian travel trade stakeholders-travel agents, event specialists, inbound tour operators-the roadshow is fostering stronger partnerships, showcasing product portfolios, and aiming to position Saudi Arabia as not just a pilgrimage hub, but a holistic destination offering modern luxury, adventure, and authentic cultural experiences.
As the roadshow progresses, Saudi Tourism seeks to further enhance awareness of its evolving tourism landscape, deepen collaborative trade relations, and strengthen its appeal to Indian travelers.
