The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) successfully hosted the Korea MICE Roadshow 2025 in Mumbai on June 5, showcasing South Korea’s advanced infrastructure, seamless support systems, and vibrant cultural experiences tailored for Indian MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) travelers.

The event marked a strategic push to position South Korea as a leading MICE destination for Indian corporates and travel planners. A major highlight was the introduction of the Korea MICE Group Visa – an initiative that simplifies the visa process for Indian MICE groups through fee waivers, faster approvals, and reduced documentation. This step aims to remove key travel barriers and attract more corporate delegations from India.

KTO also unveiled its comprehensive MICE Support Program, offering customized services based on group size and event requirements. From chartered buses, gala dinners, and cultural performances to interactive K-pop booths and K-food trucks, the program is designed to blend professional engagement with cultural immersion. Larger groups are further rewarded with additional services such as team-building activities and exclusive welcome receptions.

Adding star power to the event was Indian actress Hina Khan, who was formally recognized as the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism. Appointed on May 9, 2025, Khan participated in a KTO-organized familiarization tour covering Seoul, Gangwon-do, and Incheon. Her appointment is part of KTO’s broader strategy to promote South Korea through influential personalities who resonate with Indian audiences.

The roadshow also served as a networking platform, enabling direct engagement between Korean tourism officials and key players from India’s corporate travel ecosystem, including travel agencies, event planners, and media. The discussions opened doors for future collaborations, further strengthening India-South Korea tourism ties.

With its state-of-the-art convention centers, modern amenities, and rich cultural backdrop, South Korea is steadily gaining recognition as a global MICE hub. The country’s integrated support offerings and streamlined travel processes are expected to drive increased interest from Indian organizers seeking unique international venues for business events.

As the demand for MICE travel from India continues to grow, South Korea’s strategic initiatives — highlighted during the Mumbai roadshow — reaffirm its commitment to becoming a preferred destination for Indian corporates, incentive groups, and event planners.
