Lisa Liaw Appointed to Singapore Tourism Board as Director from January 2026

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has announced the appointment of Lisa Liaw to its Board of Directors, effective 1 January 2026, strengthening the board with extensive leadership and governance expertise.

Ms Liaw brings more than three decades of senior leadership experience across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, with deep expertise in financial stewardship, governance, and enterprise transformation. Her appointment reflects STB’s focus on reinforcing strategic oversight as Singapore advances its long-term tourism ambitions.

Previously, Ms Liaw held senior leadership roles at American Express, where she served as Legal Entity Controller and was a member of the Country Executive Teams in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. She also sat on the Boards of Directors of American Express in Indonesia and Malaysia. Beyond corporate leadership, she has played an active role in the business community, including serving as a Council Member of the Singapore Business Federation and as Chair of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce Singapore.

Ms Liaw currently serves as Founder and CEO of Biological Gamechangers and is a member of the Board of Governors and Audit & Risk Committee at Temasek Polytechnic.

In addition to the new appointment, STB confirmed the reappointment of several board members, including Siew Choo Soh, Chief Information Officer for Asia at MetLife; Arthur Lang, Group Chief Financial Officer of Singtel; and Kaiwei Ho, Secretary (Services) at the Ministry of Health.

The board has also reappointed Olivier Lim as Chairman of STB, underscoring continuity in leadership as the organisation works to strengthen and grow Singapore’s tourism sector.

According to STB, these appointments align with its commitment to advancing quality tourism growth and supporting the Tourism 2040 vision, aimed at positioning Singapore as a vibrant, world-class destination.
