Maldivian to launch weekly flights to Bengaluru from October 30

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced the launch of new flights to Bengaluru, India. Starting October 30, 2023, the airline will operate two weekly flights on every Monday and Thursday using its Airbus A320 aircraft.

The Male-Bengaluru flight will depart Velana International Airport at 9:35 a.m. and arrive at KIA at 12:15 p.m. The flight from Bengaluru will depart KIA at 13:15 and arrive in Male at 14:50.

The new route will connect travelers directly between the Maldives and Bangalore, one of India’s main cities. This service is part of Maldivian’s continued efforts to expand its network and give more travel options to its passengers.

Maldivian will offer 138 economy class seats and 14 premium economy class seats as a full-service carrier. According to the airline, the timetable was created to meet the demands of both leisure and business travelers, with alternatives for mid-week and weekend travels.
Travelers from the Indian city can also travel to more locations within the Maldives via the Maldivian domestic network, which includes 17 destinations.

On October 9, Maldivian hosted a route launch event in Bengaluru’s Chancery Pavilion Hotel, which was attended by over 100 travel trade executives from around India.
