Oman Air has marked 25 years of operations between Muscat and Kochi, celebrating a quarter century of connectivity between the Sultanate of Oman and Kerala.

The airline launched services on the route in 2001, supporting travel between the two markets for visiting friends and relatives, business and trade. The Muscat-Kochi route has since emerged as one of Oman Air’s strongest-performing services, with the airline currently operating up to 14 flights per week.

Ahmed Al Mahrouqi, Vice President Global Sales, Oman Air, said, “Celebrating 25 years of flying to Kochi is a significant milestone for Oman Air and one that reflects the strength and longevity of the relationship between Oman and Kerala, and more broadly, India. As we look ahead, we remain committed to strengthening connectivity between our two countries and delivering the distinctive travel experience our guests expect from Oman Air.”

Coinciding with the anniversary, Oman Air recognised its travel trade partners and associations at an event held on August 18, 2026, at TDM Hall in Kochi. The occasion also celebrated the Onam festival, with guests participating in a traditional Onam Sadhya, bringing a cultural dimension to the milestone celebration. India continues to be an important part of Oman Air’s 49-destination global network. The airline’s Muscat-Mumbai route marked its 30th anniversary in 2025, further reflecting its longstanding presence in the Indian market.

Oman Air continues to connect Indian travellers through its Muscat hub, offering onward connectivity across its international network alongside its signature Omani hospitality.
