PATA India Hosts Successful ‘Djinns of Delhi’ Heritage Walk at Feroz Shah Kotla Fort in association with India City Walks

Pacific Asia Travel Association India Chapter (PATA India) hosted a exclusive member only heritage walk with ‘India City Walks’ (ICW) on 1st February, 2025.

Enthusiastic participants stepped back in time and explored the rich history and cultural heritage of Delhi on a guided heritage walk to the historic Feroz Shah Kotla Fort. This immersive experience, organized by PATA India & India City Walks, offered a unique opportunity to discover the Feroz Shah Kotla Fort, built in the 14th century by Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, stands as a testament to Delhi’s rich Mughal and Tughlaq-era history.

Participants of the heritage walk were guided by expert storyteller, who brought to life the fort’s fascinating history, including the rise and fall of dynasties, strategic military importance, and the unique architectural features that make it a must-visit landmark in Delhi. Participants learned about the fort’s construction, its role in medieval Delhi, and the cultural significance of the nearby Ashokan Pillar.

Encouraging a sustainable and responsible approach to tourism. The walk was designed to, not only showcase the historical legacy of Delhi, but also to promote awareness about responsible travel practices.

The walking tour adhered to eco-friendly principles, ensuring minimal impact on the environment. Participants were encouraged to respect the historical sites they visited, promoting the importance of preservation and responsible tourism.

30 participants joined this incredible, engaging, informative journey through that fulfilled its promise to leave deep appreciation for Delhi’s historical legacy and a commitment to responsible exploration.
