• Visa Application Centre officially inaugurated in New Delhi
• VFS Global to operate centres in 10 cities across India
Residents of India can now apply for their Polish visas through VFS Global. Visa Application Centres in New Delhi and Mumbai have commenced operations today, becoming the first of 10 locations where VFS Global will offer Polish visa services. The other cities in the pipeline are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Kolkata.
The centre in New Delhi was officially inaugurated on 13 December 2019 by H.E. Mr. Adam Burakowski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan.
The Embassy of Republic of Poland in India and VFS Global signed a contract on 19 November 2019 for the latter to provide visa services for Poland in India. Prior to this, travellers had to visit the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in New Delhi or the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai to apply for their visas. The Republic of Poland has been witnessing a rapid increase in tourist and business arrivals from India over the years, with 2018 notching footfall of over 16,000 from the market. With the recently launched direct flights from New Delhi to Warsaw, these numbers are expected to increase exponentially.
H.E. Mr. Adam Burakowski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan said, “Poland is becoming more and more attractive for Indians, with its rich business opportunities, various touristic destinations and excellent universities. The number of visa applicants is growing fast. Also the opening of the direct flight between Warsaw and New Delhi is a major step. We look to the cooperation with VFGlobal with high hopes. We would like to make the visa application process easier and more accessible for people.”
Customers applying for their Polish visas through VFS Global can opt to submit their applications through the Premium Lounge, which offers end-to-end personalised assistance throughout the process, including private biometric enrolment, all in a plush environment. There is also a range of additional services offered, including courier return of processed passports and documents, and automated alerts on the progress of an application, among others.
