The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) has announced a new leadership team for the 2026–28 term, with Tejbir Singh Anand elected as President. The new team takes charge at a significant time for India’s adventure tourism sector, which is witnessing growing interest in experiences across the country’s mountains, rivers, forests and coastal destinations.
The leadership elections followed ATOAI’s Annual General Meeting for the 2025–26 financial year, where members reviewed the association’s activities and discussed priorities for the future. The meeting also included the presentation of the annual report, adoption of audited financial statements and other key institutional matters.
Joining Anand in the new leadership team are Vaibhav Kala as Senior Vice President, Ronny Singh Gulati as Vice President, Paras Loomba as Honorary Secretary and Yog Chinmoy Dutt as Honorary Treasurer. Shekhar Babu and Amit Periwal have also joined the Executive Committee.

The new leadership has outlined a forward-looking agenda centred on safety, professional standards, training, sustainability and responsible growth. Strengthening membership engagement and mentorship is also expected to be an important focus during the new term, as the association works towards building a stronger and more future-ready adventure tourism ecosystem.
Adventure tourism in India holds enormous potential, but its sustainable growth depends on a strong ecosystem supported by trained professionals, responsible operators and high operational standards. The new committee is expected to work closely with members, government institutions, tourism authorities and other stakeholders to address these priorities.
With a fresh leadership team now in place, ATOAI enters its 2026–28 term with an opportunity to further strengthen India’s position as a responsible adventure tourism destination. The focus ahead will be on balancing growth with safety and sustainability, while creating greater opportunities for operators and professionals across the country’s diverse adventure tourism landscape.
