The Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry in Thailand has achieved exceptional growth during its 2024 fiscal year (October 2023 to September 2024), reporting a remarkable 42% increase in overseas travelers. The total number of international visitors reached 1.16 million, coming very close to surpassing the pre-pandemic peak of 1.2 million travelers recorded in 2019. This impressive surge in numbers was realized despite the ongoing global economic uncertainties, reinforcing Thailand’s reputation as a leading destination for Meetings and Business Events in Southeast Asia.
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) credited this success to its strategic and highly effective promotion of Thailand as a premier global hub for MICE activities. Throughout the year, Thailand has hosted a wide range of prestigious international conventions, exhibitions, and incentive travel programs, showcasing its ability to attract and accommodate world-class events. The most significant growth was seen in the conventions and incentive travel sectors, with a notable increase in delegate numbers compared to the previous year, further cementing Thailand’s leadership in the MICE industry.
