The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, participated in ITB Berlin 2025, held from March 4-6 at Messe Berlin. ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) serves as a key platform for the global tourism industry, bringing together tour operators, travel agencies, hoteliers, transport companies, destinations, and tech firms. The event provides unmatched networking opportunities, fostering partnerships and collaborations that support business growth and market expansion.

The India Pavilion at ITB Berlin was inaugurated by H.E. Ajit Gupte, Ambassador of India to the Federal Republic of Germany, with the presence of Mr. Kandula Durgesh, Minister of Tourism, Andhra Pradesh, and Mr. Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, Minister of Tourism, Madhya Pradesh. Germany remains one of the top ten source markets for inbound tourists to India, with 0.20 million German visitors in 2023. Several Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala, are showcasing their new destinations and offerings. The Ministry of Tourism is leading a delegation of nearly 40 Indian travel industry stakeholders to highlight India’s rich cultural diversity and extensive tourism experiences. This initiative supports India’s goal to boost inbound tourism and position the country as a year-round global travel destination. The Ministry’s participation at ITB Berlin offers private stakeholders a valuable platform to reconnect, forge new business ties, and promote innovative itineraries and immersive experiences.

The India Pavilion at ITB 2025 highlighted the country’s vibrant blend of cultures, languages, and traditions, all contributing to its diverse tourism offerings. It also featured a range of niche tourism experiences, including spiritual wellness, weddings, adventure, eco-tourism, and gourmet travel. Focused on sustainable tourism, the Pavilion showcased co-exhibitors such as travel agents, state tourism departments from Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh, IRCTC, and other tourism service providers.
