A new tourism zone named Kota Tourism has opened in Ramnagar Forest Division. After Sitabani Tourism Zone of Ramnagar Forest Division adjacent to Corbett Park, another new tourism zone has been opened. With the opening of this tourist zone, the pressure of tourists coming to Corbett Park will be reduced. With the opening of the new zone, tourists will not have to face trouble due to full slots in Corbett Park. Tourists will be able to enjoy safari, forest and biodiversity in Kota Tourism Zone. In this zone tourists can enjoy jungle safari inside 26 kilometers of forest. The entire area of 26 kilometers is amidst dense forest.

Due to the implementation of the code of conduct, this new zone was opened in a subtle manner a week ago. In this zone, tourists are also able to see wild animals like the king of the jungle, tiger and leopard. Ramnagar Forest Division DFO Digant Nayak said that water bodies have also been created in this zone. In which wild animals are coming to escape the heat and quench their thirst. He said that a lot of work still remains to be done in this zone.

Popular Tourism Zone in Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is divided into multiple safari zones, each offering unique landscapes and wildlife experiences. As of my last update, there are six main safari zones in Corbett National Park:

  • Dhikala Zone: One of the most popular zones, known for its diverse flora and fauna. It offers a chance to spot Bengal tigers, elephants, deer, and various bird species. Dhikala also has several accommodation options within the park.
  • Bijrani Zone: This zone is characterized by dense forests and grasslands, making it an excellent habitat for tigers, elephants, deer, and birds. Bijrani is known for its picturesque landscapes and serene atmosphere.
  • Jhirna Zone: Open throughout the year, the Jhirna Zone is home to a variety of wildlife, including leopards, deer, sloth bears, and birds. The landscape here comprises dry deciduous forests and scrublands.
  • Durga Devi Zone: Located in the northeastern part of the park, Durga Devi is known for its rich biodiversity and scenic beauty. It is an ideal zone for birdwatching enthusiasts, with numerous avian species found here.
  • Dhela Zone: Dhela is the newest safari zone in Corbett National Park, known for its tranquil surroundings and varied wildlife. It offers opportunities to spot tigers, elephants, leopards, and birds amidst its lush forests.
  • Sitabani Buffer Zone: Situated outside the core area of the park, the Sitabani Buffer Zone is known for its religious significance and diverse wildlife. It is home to the famous Sitabani Temple and offers a chance to spot wildlife like tigers, leopards, elephants, and birds.
