The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), in collaboration with the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India (HRANI), is all set to convene the “Viksit Delhi – Viksit Tourism & Hospitality Summit 2025” on 10 December 2025 in New Delhi. The summit – scheduled to be held at Le Meridien New Delhi — aims to position tourism and hospitality as central pillars in the capital’s growth story.

The summit is designed to align with the broader vision of a “Viksit Delhi”, with the objective of transforming the city into a global-class destination for travellers, investors, and industry stakeholders alike. It intends to catalyze economic growth, job creation, and enhanced urban development by leveraging Delhi’s unique blend of heritage, culture, and modern infrastructure.

A major focus of the gathering will be on improving the ease of doing business within the tourism and hospitality sector. Discussions will centre around regulatory reforms, streamlined approvals, licensing, and operational frameworks – all aimed at encouraging investment and enabling expansion of hotels, restaurants, and allied services across the capital.

The summit’s agenda includes high-level sessions featuring policymakers, tourism authorities, industry leaders and experts – all deliberating on destination development, city branding, infrastructure readiness, and investment opportunities. A key session titled “Branding Delhi for Growth Opportunities” will explore strategic positioning of the city in domestic and international tourism markets by leveraging its heritage, culinary traditions, cultural circuits, events, and urban charm.

Further, the Summit will showcase ongoing initiatives in city beautification, heritage circuit development, event-based tourism, and workforce upskilling. Presentations are expected to highlight synergies among government departments, urban agencies, and private stakeholders to build a cohesive, future-ready tourism infrastructure.

The event will also host the “Delhi Edition of Awards of Excellence,” recognising hotels, restaurants, service providers, innovators, and professionals who have made significant contributions in enhancing guest experience, promoting the capital, and raising service standards. This segment aims to encourage further investment in quality, sustainability, and customer-centric innovation within the hospitality sector.

With this comprehensive showcase of policy, public-private collaboration, investment opportunities and industry excellence, the Viksit Delhi Summit is poised to play a vital role in redefining tourism and hospitality in India’s national capital – potentially transforming Delhi into a vibrant, world-class visitor economy.
