The state of Gujarat plans to launch the first submarine tourist program in India. Along with the Mazgaon Dock Limited (MDL), it has embarked on an expedition to investigate the marine life around Bet Dwarka, a small island off the coast of Dwarka city that is significant to Hindu mythology.

It is anticipated that the tourism facility will be functioning prior to Diwali in 2024. It will allow visitors to explore the island’s marine life by going 100 meters below the surface in a submarine. It is estimated that the submarine can accommodate 30 passengers and will weigh approximately 35 tons. Two rows of window seats will be made to accommodate 24 tourists at once, giving them a handy way to see the view from within. Ancient history says that the location contains a submerged metropolis that was built by Lord Krishna. The forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit will have an official project announcement.
