India continued to be one of Singapore’s strongest visitor source markets in 2025, with over 1.2 million Indian visitors travelling to Singapore, marking a 1% increase over 2024. This growth further reinforced India’s importance in Singapore’s overall tourism strategy.
The strong Indian performance aligned with Singapore’s global tourism recovery, as International Visitor Arrivals (IVA) reached 16.9 million in 2025, a 2.3% rise year-on-year. The tourism sector also recorded robust financial performance, with tourism receipts touching SGD 23.9 billion in the first three quarters of 2025, the highest ever for this period, reflecting a 6.5% growth over 2024. Tourism receipts from India alone amounted to SGD 1.17 billion, registering a 5% annual increase.
2025 was a milestone year, marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore. To capitalise on this momentum, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) launched the “Just Between Us Friends” campaign, a year-long initiative offering exclusive travel, shopping, and airline deals. The campaign also extended into MICE tourism, providing special incentives for Indian corporate and incentive groups through partnerships with airlines, hotels, and attractions.
STB strengthened its brand presence through strategic marketing collaborations with Nickelodeon, content creators, and advocacy panels, reaching over 145 million people via digital campaigns. The Nickelodeon “FamJam in Singapore” campaign won a GOLD award at the GEMA Asia Awards 2025, highlighting Singapore’s success in family-focused engagement.
To improve travel convenience, UPI payments were enabled at over 130,000 locations, including Changi Airport duty-free stores. STB also signed its first-ever MoU with IndiGo, boosting connectivity from India’s secondary cities.
Singapore further cemented its leadership in MICE tourism by hosting over 6,000 Indian delegates from Sun Pharma, the largest M&I group movement from India to date.
Looking ahead to 2026, Singapore will unveil new attractions, global concerts, major sporting events, and cruise tourism, reinforcing its Tourism 2040 vision and deepening its appeal for Indian leisure and business travellers alike.
