Jaipur Airport has inaugurated a new terminal dedicated to international travelers, located in Sanganer. This terminal, which opened on October 27, marks the revival of the original airport site before operations moved to Terminal 2. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma officiated the inauguration, coinciding with the arrival of an Air India Express flight from Dubai.
Designed to accommodate 1.5 million passengers annually, the new terminal enhances air connectivity from Jaipur, currently offering flights to six international destinations, primarily in the Middle East and Kuala Lumpur. Key features include 10 check-in counters, duty-free shops, food and beverage outlets, and a passenger lounge, alongside medical facilities and an ambulance service.
Spanning 128,000 square feet, the terminal incorporates Jaipur’s cultural heritage in its design, featuring motifs of local symbols and a vibrant color palette. It also emphasizes sustainability through the use of recyclable materials in its construction. The terminal aims to provide a modern and efficient travel experience for international passengers.
