TMS. As a leader in the print packaging and allied machinery manufacturing sector, how do you see the industry evolving in the coming years, and what opportunities and challenges do you anticipate?

Jaiveer Singh. IPAMA has been playing a pivotal leading role in the promotion of the Indian Printing & Packaging Industry. Most of the Printing & Packaging industry stalwarts are already its Members having establishments in different States. .The Packaging is one of the biggest sectors in the country and making significant contribution towards the country’s GDP. Keeping this in view and all other relevant factors, the Governing Council had decided that an exclusive Packaging Exhibition should be organised. The Indian Packaging Industry has a very bright future. The opportunities are more in comparison to challenges. The Indian manufacturers of Packaging Machinery, Equipment and related products are now using the latest technologies in their processes and producing quality products to effectively compete in the open market.

TMS. Please elaborate on some of the key activities and initiatives undertaken by IPAMA

Jaiveer Singh. After the announcements of the dates of IntraPac India Exhibition last year, IPAMA had started marketing through various modes by sending WhatsApp Messages, Emails, personal contacts on Phone, participation in Indian and foreign Exhibitions, use of CRM Software for monitoring, organisation of Promotional Meets in different States and publication of advertisements in prominent Magazines etc. IPAMA is intending to organise Promotional Meets at Ahmedabad and Mumbai before the Exhibition takes off. As far as PRINTPACK INDIA Exhibition is concerned which is scheduled from 01-05 February, 2025, 410 Indian and Foreign Companies have already booked their space. These companies have also been allotted Priority Numbers. It is the largest Exhibition in India on Graphic Arts Industry.

TMS. What role do you believe technology and digital transformation play?

Jaiveer Singh. Adoption of latest technology in manufacturing processes and digital transformation are the backbone of the Printing & Packaging Industry for its survival. One cannot compete in the open market without adopting the latest technology. IPAMA has been working on this from the very beginning and pursing with the Member companies for creation and adoption of latest technologies in their manufacturing processes.. The Central Government has also been providing financial assistance to the Companies for development of latest technology and its commercialisation use. in manufacturing processes to reduce the Imports and increase the exports.
