Hospitality entrepreneur Bhavik Sheth has officially launched Opulent Oasis Hospitality, marking his entry into India’s growing experiential hospitality segment with the debut of its first project – Wild Calm, a 53-key nature-led retreat in Sasan Gir, Gujarat. Positioned amidst one of India’s most celebrated wildlife destinations, the retreat aims to redefine immersive travel experiences through a blend of luxury, sustainability, wellness, and locally rooted hospitality.
Designed as an “experience-first” destination, Wild Calm has been conceptualised to bridge the gap between ultra-luxury niche resorts and conventional commercial hotels. The retreat will feature 53 accommodation units including private pool villas and immersive stay formats, catering to travellers seeking meaningful and emotionally engaging travel experiences rather than standardised hospitality offerings.
Located in Sasan Gir, globally recognised for Gir National Park and Asiatic lion tourism, the project integrates curated hospitality infrastructure with nature-centric experiences. The property will include a clubhouse, swimming pool, multi-cuisine restaurant, kitchen garden, cultural activity arena, pickleball courts, box cricket zones, and landscaped green spaces including a Miyawaki forest. The retreat also plans to offer botanical walks, storytelling sessions, pottery workshops, curated high-tea concepts, wildlife-inspired activities, and slow-evening experiential programmes aimed at creating deeper guest engagement.
Speaking on the launch, Bhavik Sheth, Founder & CEO of Opulent Oasis Hospitality, highlighted the company’s vision of building destinations that feel intuitive, rooted, and emotionally memorable instead of process-driven hospitality formats. Sheth previously played a key role at Evoke Experiences and contributed to the development of the iconic Rann Utsav tourism project in Gujarat.
With Wild Calm as its flagship debut property, Opulent Oasis Hospitality plans measured expansion across wildlife circuits, eco-tourism destinations, desert regions, culturally significant locations, and emerging Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets across India. The company is also evaluating opportunities in spiritual tourism and experiential travel segments as demand for sustainable and destination-led hospitality continues to grow rapidly in the Indian travel market.
