Sarovar Hotels is accelerating its expansion strategy with an ambitious target of 400 operational and under-development hotels across more than 110 destinations by 2029, reinforcing its commitment to India’s rapidly evolving hospitality landscape. Rather than pursuing acquisition-led growth, the homegrown hotel chain is focusing on organic expansion into Tier II and Tier III cities, pilgrimage circuits, and emerging leisure destinations, where demand for quality branded hospitality continues to rise.

Currently, Sarovar Hotels operates 152 hotels across 90+ destinations with over 11,000 keys. In 2026 alone, the company opened 11 hotels and signed 27 new properties, with another five hotels scheduled to open over the next six months. The company is also targeting revenue exceeding ₹2,300 crore, backed by sustained double-digit growth and strong market momentum.

Speaking on the company’s vision, Jatin Khanna, CEO of Sarovar Hotels, emphasized that the brand’s strategy is centred on expanding into destinations rather than simply increasing hotel numbers. He noted that Sarovar’s growth has been entirely organic, allowing the company to establish a strong presence in markets that remain underserved by organized hospitality. The hotel chain expects to cross the 100-destination milestone within the next year.

A key pillar of Sarovar’s expansion strategy is its asset-light business model, supported primarily through management contracts and strategic partnerships. The company is also diversifying into branded residences, while exploring opportunities in international markets, particularly across Africa, alongside continued domestic growth.

Driven by rising domestic travel, improved infrastructure and increasing demand for premium accommodation beyond metro cities, Sarovar Hotels is positioning itself to capitalise on India’s next phase of hospitality growth. By prioritising destination development, local experiences and scalable expansion, the company aims to strengthen its nationwide footprint while contributing to the long-term growth of the country’s tourism and hospitality ecosystem.
