Turkish Airlines has announced the phased restoration of its Middle East network, resuming operations to key destinations following a temporary suspension of services in the region. The move marks a positive step towards strengthening regional air connectivity and supporting the recovery of business and leisure travel.

The airline resumed flights to Abu Dhabi on 1 July 2026, reconnecting Istanbul with the UAE capital and restoring an important link for both tourism and corporate travel. Further network expansion is planned throughout July, with services to Dammam scheduled to restart on 10 July, followed by Kuwait on 11 July and Bahrain on 16 July.

In addition to resuming suspended routes, Turkish Airlines has significantly increased frequencies on several major Middle Eastern destinations in response to rising passenger demand. Flights to Dubai have doubled from seven to fourteen weekly services since 25 June, while services to Amman increased from fourteen to twenty-one weekly flights from 19 June. Flights to Beirut have also expanded from twenty-one to twenty-eight weekly services from 1 July.

The restoration of these routes is expected to benefit tourism, trade, and business travel across the region while improving connectivity between the Middle East and Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network through Istanbul.

Industry observers view the airline’s decision as a strong indicator of recovering confidence in regional aviation markets and growing demand for international travel. The increased connectivity is also expected to provide a boost to the MICE sector, supporting exhibitions, conferences, and corporate events across major business hubs in the Middle East.

With the phased return of services and expanded capacity, Turkish Airlines continues to reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading global carriers connecting Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
