WTM Africa 2026 is set to take place from April 13–15 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, bringing together global tourism stakeholders for a comprehensive programme focused on innovation, artificial intelligence, and workforce development. Organised by RX Africa as part of Africa Travel Week, the event continues to position itself as a leading platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and industry advancement.

The three-day event will feature more than 70 conference sessions, workshops, and panel discussions led by global experts, addressing critical themes such as digital transformation, AI integration in travel, sustainability, and evolving consumer behaviour. A major highlight is the strong focus on skills development, with sessions aimed at equipping professionals with future-ready capabilities.

WTM Africa 2026 will also introduce specialised tracks, including a Wine Tourism segment showcasing Africa’s growing prominence in this niche sector. The return of IBTM Africa will spotlight business events and corporate travel opportunities, while the relaunch of the Sports & Events Tourism Exchange will further strengthen the platform’s role in connecting tourism and event stakeholders.

The programme will also explore hybrid workforce trends, inclusive growth, and the importance of public-private collaboration. With participation from tourism boards, travel companies, hospitality leaders, and technology providers, the event will serve as a key hub for partnerships, innovation, and business growth.

By combining thought leadership with strong networking opportunities, WTM Africa 2026 reinforces its role in advancing tourism while supporting the growth of business events and global industry collaboration.
