DMCBazaar has announced a strategic partnership with Asoko, aimed at transforming how Indian travel agents sell and operate travel to Japan. The collaboration is designed to simplify complex operational challenges and unlock new growth opportunities in the Indian outbound market.
Selling Japan has traditionally posed difficulties for Indian travel agents due to fragmented supplier networks, language barriers, complex logistics, and pricing inefficiencies. By combining Asoko’s strong on-ground expertise with DMCBazaar’s technology-driven B2B platform, the partnership aims to deliver faster quotations, improved coordination, and more competitive pricing structures.
Japan has seen steadily rising demand from Indian travellers across segments including FIT, luxury, family travel, seasonal departures, and MICE groups. However, operational bottlenecks have often limited scalability for agents. This collaboration directly addresses these issues by creating a more streamlined, reliable, and efficient ecosystem for destination management.
Through this partnership, travel agents will gain access to curated Japan itineraries tailored specifically for Indian travellers, quicker turnaround times for customised requests, and enhanced support for group and MICE movements. Additionally, improved supplier contracting and optimised pricing models are expected to make offerings up to 10% more competitive compared to traditional sourcing channels.
Speaking on the development, Sameer, CEO of Asoko, highlighted the importance of precision and local expertise in delivering seamless Japan experiences, adding that the partnership enables scaling these capabilities across a wider Indian agent network. Varun Sarda described the collaboration as a breakthrough in solving long-standing pricing and operational challenges, while Irshad Mahmood Dadan emphasised Asoko’s consistency and reliability as a key differentiator.
Asoko has served over 250,000 travellers and has handled large-scale operations, including logistics for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Its offerings include private transfers, English-speaking driver-guides, and end-to-end destination management.
Positioned as an AI-powered marketplace, DMCBazaar connects Indian travel agents with global partners through a technology-first ecosystem focused on speed, reliability, and distribution. The partnership is already in effect, with joint trade engagement initiatives, curated product development, and familiarisation programmes underway, making Japan more accessible, efficient, and profitable for the Indian travel trade.
