DOHA – Qatar Airways has once again captured the spotlight, unveiling a striking new Formula 1-themed livery on one of its Boeing 777 aircraft – a move industry experts are calling a game-changer for global tourism and luxury hospitality.

The reveal took place during the 2025 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit, where thousands of motorsport fans witnessed a dramatic aerial flypast. The aircraft, adorned in its bold Formula 1-inspired exterior, soared above the circuit – offering what Qatar Airways calls a “fusion of speed, luxury and travel.”

Designed in collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Swizz Beatz, the livery marks more than just an aesthetic makeover – it reflects the airline’s broader ambition to merge aviation, global sport and premium hospitality. The aircraft (registration A7-BEG) is set to operate across Qatar Airways’ busiest long-haul routes this winter, including London, New York, Tokyo, Melbourne and other major international hubs.

Qatar Airways’ CEO, Badr Mohammed Al‑Meer, described the unveiling as “one of the most iconic aircraft liveries in global aviation,” adding that the spectacle over the Lusail circuit attracted enormous global interest.

While it’s visually dramatic, the move is more than marketing: the new livery serves as a moving billboard for Qatar’s emerging status as a luxury-travel hub. With a surge in elite tourism, high-end hospitality infrastructure, and global sporting partnerships, Qatar Airways aims to position itself not just as a carrier but as a curator of global luxury travel experiences.

Onboard, travellers will enjoy Qatar Airways’ signature premium services, world-class comfort, and the symbolic thrill of a flight that mirrors the luxury and excitement of Formula 1. For the airline and the broader hospitality sector in Qatar, the livery is a bold statement of intent: to reshape perceptions of travel, sport and luxury.

As global travel rebounds and international events draw high-end visitors, Qatar Airways’ new livery could signal a new era – where airlines, sport and hospitality converge to offer an elevated, multi-dimensional travel experience.
