Tourism Malaysia has strengthened its engagement with the Indian travel trade by organising the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) Roadshow in Nashik and Sambhajinagar, reinforcing its commitment to one of its most important international source markets. The three-day initiative brought together Malaysian tourism organisations, airlines, destination management companies, and travel operators with leading travel agents and tour operators from Maharashtra.
The roadshow served as a dedicated platform for business networking, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings. Participants explored new travel products, destination experiences, and upcoming attractions while discussing opportunities for closer collaboration and increased outbound travel from India.
Tourism Malaysia highlighted the country’s wide range of experiences, including nature tourism, luxury holidays, adventure activities, cultural heritage, shopping, gastronomy, and family-friendly attractions. The campaign also showcased Malaysia as a convenient and value-driven destination for Indian travellers, supported by extensive direct air connectivity between the two countries.
Officials emphasised that India continues to be a strategic market for Malaysia’s tourism sector. By expanding promotional activities beyond metropolitan cities to emerging markets such as Nashik and Sambhajinagar, Tourism Malaysia aims to reach a wider network of travel professionals and encourage stronger regional participation in the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
The event also featured business-to-business meetings, destination presentations, and networking sessions, enabling Indian travel partners to interact directly with Malaysian tourism stakeholders. These engagements are expected to generate new business opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships across the travel ecosystem.
With Visit Malaysia 2026 approaching, Tourism Malaysia is intensifying its promotional efforts across India through targeted trade initiatives and collaborative marketing activities. The Maharashtra roadshow marks another significant step in enhancing destination awareness, expanding travel partnerships, and driving higher tourist arrivals from India, further reinforcing the long-standing tourism relationship between the two nations.
